You can create a world where supplies are plentiful but the weather is unforgiving. Or perhaps the temperatures are manageable, but finding food and equipment becomes a constant struggle.

But what happens when you stop choosing your own settings and leave the decisions to chance?

That’s why I created the Survivor Incognito Custom Survival Randomiser.

A free, browser-based tool designed to generate unpredictable survival conditions, whether you’re looking for a punishing expedition, something more forgiving, or complete chaos.

You won’t know what kind of world you’re entering until you roll.

How Does It Work?

1. Choose your randomisation style.
   Pick from Survival Mix, Explorer, Brutal,
   Customloper Chaos or Total Chaos.
2. Generate your settings.
   The randomiser selects the conditions for
   your next survival expedition.
3. Review your world.
   Work through the settings, using the
   information buttons to understand what
   each one changes.
4. Take control where you want to.
   Lock settings you want to keep or reroll
   individual options.
5. Recreate your world in-game.
   Enter the generated settings into
   The Long Dark’s Custom Survival mode.
6. Begin your expedition.
   Once everything is configured, head into
   the wilderness and see how long you survive.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

The randomiser does not generate an in-game Custom Mode share code. You’ll need to enter the generated settings manually.

Your configurations are saved in your browser, but they won’t automatically synchronise between devices. Use the backup and restore options if you want to keep or transfer them.

The tool is independently created by Survivor Incognito. It is an unofficial fan-made project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hinterland Studio, the creators of The Long Dark.
