Forsaken Airfield: Where Loot Falls from the Sky & So Does Your Sanity

Pilgrim / Voyageur / Stalker Map

Interloper / Misery Map

Interloper and Misery strip away safety nets. This map is for route planning, rope management, and avoiding assumptions that worked on lower difficulties.

Welcome to the Ice Runway of Regret

Forsaken Airfield feels unfinished. Wide stretches of open ground, a runway swallowed by snow, and structures standing just far enough apart to make every crossing deliberate.

At first glance, it looks generous. Supply crates lie scattered across the frozen expanse. Hangars promise tools and salvage. The scale suggests opportunity. The weather suggests restraint.

Wind moves unhindered across the runway, draining warmth faster than most regions. Blizzards flatten the landscape into white noise. Once you step outside, you are fully exposed until you reach the next structure.

Then there’s the Glimmer Fog.

When it rolls in, visibility collapses into a charged haze. The world feels muted and unstable. Spend too long exposed to it and insomnia risk builds, making recovery harder and long-term travel less predictable. It’s not dramatic — it’s disruptive. The correct response is simple: shelter, wait, or leave.

One of the industrial hangars houses a forge, which gives the region strategic value beyond scavenging. Arrowheads, tools, repairs — capability built in a place that otherwise feels openly hostile. The forge turns the airfield from a gamble into a calculated stop.

The Control Tower offers elevation and visibility, making it a practical short-term staging point. It’s not comfortable, but it’s structured — and structure matters in a region this open.

Forsaken Airfield is also where the Signal Void tale begins. The abandoned infrastructure isn’t just background — it’s part of something larger. Signals to trace. Locations to uncover. The airfield becomes less about loot and more about investigation. That adds purpose, but also keeps you moving through exposure longer than you might otherwise choose.

Predators roam the outskirts and approach routes, turning long crossings into measured decisions rather than sprints.

Forsaken Airfield doesn’t overwhelm you. It stretches you out. Come with a route in mind. Use the forge if needed. Respect the weather. And when the Glimmer Fog rolls in, slow down — because this region punishes impatience more than weakness.
