Transfer Pass: The Chasm of Chilly Regrets

Pilgrim / Voyageur / Stalker Map

Interloper / Misery Map

Interloper and Misery strip away safety nets. This map is for route planning, rope management, and avoiding assumptions that worked on lower difficulties.

Welcome to the Holding Pattern

Transfer Pass exists to move you forward. A twisting, wind-blasted canyon that separates the familiar from the Far Territory beyond it.

The route narrows quickly. Steep drop-offs line sections of the path, and footing feels less secure the higher you climb. Wind gathers speed through the canyon, draining warmth faster than most expect. Blizzards don’t need to be severe here to become dangerous — exposure does most of the work.

Shelter is minimal. Caves and shallow ledges offer temporary protection from the wind, but they are pauses rather than staging grounds. Supplies are scattered — abandoned caves may yield basic provisions, a fallen tree camp can provide firewood or the occasional bedroll, and backpacks appear along the route for those paying attention.

There is no base location worth claiming. This isn’t a settlement. It’s a climb. Treat it accordingly.

Transfer Pass works best when approached with preparation. Carry enough food to avoid unnecessary stops. Keep a light source ready for caves. Move steadily, not urgently.

It’s a holding pattern before escalation. Cross it with purpose, and leave it behind.
