Welcome To Rock Bottom
Blackrock does not pretend to be fair.
This is a mountainous region shaped by conflict. Timberwolves patrol aggressively. Weather rolls in without courtesy. The prison complex looms over everything like a reminder that this place was never meant to be comfortable. You don’t pass through Blackrock casually. You enter it with intent — and ideally with ammunition.
The hazards here are layered. Timberwolf packs are coordinated and relentless, demanding more than a quick sprint and a prayer. The prison itself is large, enclosed, and easy to misjudge. Interior navigation can become its own problem if you rush. Add sudden weather shifts to that equation, and even a short outing can turn into a forced retreat.
The prison complex is also where much of the value sits. The Infirmary offers relative security and access to medical supplies, making it one of the few places in the region that feels defensible rather than exposed. It isn’t cosy, but it is controlled — and control matters here.
Mining areas offer additional resources for those willing to push deeper, though none of it comes without pressure. Movement in Blackrock feels observed. Even when the wolves aren’t visible, you’re aware they could be nearby.
This is not a region for early confidence. It rewards preparation, tactical movement, and a willingness to disengage when the situation shifts. If Ash Canyon tests your stamina, Blackrock tests your composure under threat.
Come here to prove something, perhaps. But understand that Blackrock is just as willing to prove something back.
