Isolation Protocol: An Alien Isolation Survival Diary

Isolation Protocol: An Alien Isolation Survival Diary

Difficulty: Medium
Optional Features: Permadeath enabled with the Three Strikes Xenomorph Rule

“Sevastopol Station. No rescue, no escape. Just me, the dark, and the thing hunting me.”

Welcome to Isolation Protocol — my permadeath survival diary for Alien: Isolation on Nintendo Switch. In this series, I’ll try to survive the Xenomorph, hostile humans, and malfunctioning Working Joes while navigating the twisting corridors of Sevastopol Station.

The Three Strikes Xenomorph Rule

Because Alien: Isolation’s Xenomorph AI can be unfairly unpredictable, I’m introducing the Three Strikes Rule:

  • Every time the Xenomorph kills me, I get a strike.
  • On the third strike, the run is over — no matter how far I’ve progressed.
  • Deaths caused by other enemies, hazards, or my own mistakes still end the run immediately.

This keeps the permadeath tension while avoiding instant, unwinnable endings due to bad RNG. Once the run ends, the final diary entry will include an in-universe explanation for my character’s fate.
